The Mentoring program seeks to build lasting one-on-one relationships between City Faces mentees and Washington University mentors. Pairs meet at least once a week to spend quality time together; from visiting each other’s school to cooking together to playing basketball, the options are nearly limitless! Pairs discover common interests as their unique friendship develops.

Mentor pairs also enjoy group activities, such as potlucks, field trips, and holiday celebrations. The flexibility of the mentoring program allows for a mixture of fun and learning.

Both mentors and mentees come away with meaningful friendships and irreplaceable experiences. We hope that the deep connections formed will encourage pairs to explore academic and personal interests. We also hope that pairs will develop long-term planning skills and that the mentoring program can serve as a safety net that City Faces students can always turn to.
